Ye Olde Partners Page
*A Collection of Antiquarian Curios & Relics*
"If you play a Nickelback song backwards, you'll hear messages from the Devil.
Even worse, if you play it forwards, you'll hear Nickelback . . ."
                                                 --Dave Grohl

  B. Traven Jr here.  Welcome to my new show, In Search of Ancient Aliens X-Files, and yes, I know the title is redundant, but we have to circumvent those pesky copyright laws.  We really wanted to capitalize, legally, on the return of Fox Mulder and Scully to network television and this is the best we could do.  We will air after the new Discovery Channel show Oregon Patriot although I suspect that show may be cancelled soon.  Ha, ha!
This week I'll be joined by my good friend, Jerry Apps, who has a new book out, Limping Through Life (9780870205804) 22.95.  Growing up on a farm in Wisconsin, Jerry contracted polio as a child, and it presented many challenges throughout his life.  I also injured my leg in a freak Quidditch accident many years ago.  If you aren't familiar with Quidditch, you can read about it in Quidditch Through the Ages (9780545850582) 9.99 by Kennilworthy Whisp.  We will commiserate over our bum legs.  And then, since Jerry is an expert on farm silos, we will discuss the viability of aliens using the Pyramids at Giza for grain storage.  Ha, ha!  We'll be right back after these messages . . .

Green Machine: The Story of Michigan State's Return to Football Dominance (9781597256261) 34.95 by The LSJ & Detroit Free Press
(Sung to the tune of Dream Police by Cheap Trick)

"The Green Machine, Dantonio is out of his head
(He's out of his head)
The Green Machine, Conner Cook has street cred
(Give him some street cred)
The Green Machine, they're coming to beat you, oh no . . ."

This title is available at Partners Books.  It is non-returnable and a straight 40% discount.  Relive the shocking victory over Michigan, the 'Drive' against Iowa, and much, much more!

Later on, we'll have Jason Selk and Tom Bartow, who are the authors of Organize Tomorrow Today (9780738218694) 21.99, visit us.  First, we will discuss the topic of their book: Organization!  Then we will tackle the incongruities in time travel induced by this title.  For example, if I took their book into the future, would its new title actually be Organize Today Tomorrow?  Ha, ha!  See you soon!

Odds & Sods

"Peter Pauper Press picked a peck of colored pencils; A peck of colored pencils Peter Pauper Press picked; If Peter Pauper Press picked a peck of colored pencils, Where's the peck of colored pencils Peter Pauper Press picked?"  If you haven't figured it out by now, we have the Studio Series Colored Pencil Set (9781441314512) 14.99 back in stock and supply is limited . . .

Victoria Aveyard's second title in the 'Red Queen' series, which began with The Red Queen (9780062310637) 17.99, releases next Tuesday and it's called The Glass Sword (9780062310668) 19.99.  We have some signed stock.  As usual, it's first come, first served . . .
